-snip-

Senior McCain campaign officials said McCain knew of the daughter's pregnancy when he selected Palin last week as his vice presidential running mate, deciding that it did not disqualify the 44-year-old governor in any way.

1. Good for McCain. Unwanted pregnancies are not ideal, but they happen to ordinary people.
This doesn't make Palin unfit to serve. Only her terrible policy positions do this. The children of politicians are off limits always. Yes, even the children of politicians who want to stick the government's nose into our personal lives. I know some DUers like to gloat by saying "turnabout is fair play" and "fight fire with fire." The problem in this case is that "turnabout" reinforces their values and undermines ours. I won't fight fire with fire if it puts me on the same moral plane as Rush Limbaugh.

2. We're supposed to respect her privacy? How about, you respect mine and leave abortion legal?
You'll get my respect, miss xtian know it all, when you get your evil, lying hands out of my uterus.

Go back whence you came, you gun loving, war loving, death penalty loving, beauty queen.

I don't see much that's beautiful about you, frankly.
