Tuesday Evening -- Palin Calls A Press Conference. Announces that because of the media firestorm regarding her daughter's condition, it not be in the best interest of her family to remain on the tickiet (i.e., it's all the media's fault). She thanks Sen. McCain for the honor.

Friday Afternoon -- McCain picks Lieberman to be his running mate.

So how psychic am I?

3. IT'll never happen

Number one, they released the story as Gustav came on shore.

Number two, no campaign will ever pull a Thomas Eagleton on purpose unless there is absolute certainty that they will do worse keeping the current Veep on ticket. In such a case, the race is already lost.

5. why would they do that this is working for them.

The idea that her daughter is a teenage mom and getting married will energize the base. Many working class families start out this way. To fight on the basis of this issue makes us appear elitist.
