1. Personally, I think they'll circle the wagons.
I think she was selected knowing full well that Bristol was pregnant, and they're going to use her as a prop to appeal to the pro-life crowd. It's incredibly selfish and self-centered of Sarah Palin, if so. She's screwing over her own daughter for political gain.

4. If the vetters knew about the pregnancy and wanted Palin anyway,
they would have framed the story. No, Palin either lied to the vetters or didn't know that her daughter was five months along. Neither reflect well on her as presidential material.

I knew she was too BAD to be true.

5. I took a look at the posts on this topic at FreepTown...
...and you're 100% on target. They are circling the wagons.

Many people saying "So WHAT," praising the fact that the kid is going to have the baby, applauding her bravery, saying McCain knew this before the VP announcement (followed by another round of "so what") and offering it up as proof that Sarah is the BESTEST...MOM...EVER.

The bullshit is so deep over there right now that I decided against copying and pasting any of the actual posts here. The freeps are taking one for the team. They are faking enthusiasm over McCain because they don;t want to lose, and they've turned Palin into some kind of mighty Joan of Arc action figure for the same reason.

3. I think she was chosen just to steal Obama's convention thunder.
Thus the lack of vetting and the religious rights hard on for her....politically speaking that is.
