I, for one, am going to listen to Obama
He said back off of Palin's daughter, and I for one think we ought to listen to him. Can you imagine how outraged we'd be if the media or the freepers went after his daughters? I want Obama to win more than anything, but this is below the belt and it's not going to gain Obama any votes.

1. I am too.
We need to keep the spotlight on McCain, 24-7. He alone is enough to take all of our time on.

2. Obama Must Say ...
... what is the truth for him.

For the rest of us, we have a civic duty, in my opinion, to focus the spotlight on extremist religious hypocrisy. WE are the ones who are being preached to by Palin and would have to live with her as vice president if by some freak of politics she and McSame were elected.

I'm sick of this 'do as I say, not as I do' attitude from the Christian extremists ... and their "get out of jail free" card of "Christians are not perfect, just forgiven" does not excuse their trying to legislate my moral and religious beliefs.

We now have great and clear examples of grievously poor judgement from McCain and Palin -- and I don't think we should ease-up one bit one pointing that out.

4. I'm an adult, as most of us here are. I'm appalled that we have to be warned off.

Anyone with decency shouldn't have even continued on with that crock story. It was a fluke and I've never seen so many people pushing it. As though if the GOP/Repubs do it, then we should do it back. Hell no!

In any event Obama has the right idea. There's enough to take them down on anything except for their personal information.

5. I think we need to concentrate on four issues with Palin
1) The Ethics Investigation
2) The Bridge to Nowhere Lie
3) Her Chairmanship of Ted Stevens' 527
4) Her Connections to the Radical Pro-Secessionist AIP.

7. Good thing Obama doesn't control what Americans can discuss. Some Democrats will say lay off,

a point Hilzoy makes here, but concedes:

As far as I'm concerned, it's fair game to consider Sarah Palin's statements about her daughter's decision, and to compare them to her own views about abortion. That's a story about whether or not Sarah Palin sticks to her beliefs when they affect her own family, not about her daughter.

There are relevant issues here: McCain not vetting his VP and the GOP's hypocrisy on teen pregnancy, abstinence and sex education.

I'm perfectly OK with Obama taking the high road on not wanting to use Palin's daughter, but the GOP does not get a pass on the relevant issues.

9. I don't understand why people so desperately need to obsess
over this crap. Obama is doing FINE without it or so I thought. I am probably out of here for awhile after this post until this simmers down a bit because DU has become BORING with this sideshow obsession. People going on about this, to me , are HYPOCRITES on so many levels but I don't feel like arguing with them anymore.
