Thankfully, Gustav now dropped to Cat 1 --- will McCain now actually show at the puke convention?

Good news that Gustav is quickly losing punch, there was talk of McCain "grandstanding" his speech from the Gulf region - McBush now probably has lost that stage.

But, will he appear live in MN?

I think he was hoping to avoid a speech - cause there is no way he will come close to the remarkable event we saw with Obama and 84,000 of his supporters in Denver.

Don't remember exactly how many delgates Romney had, or whether he ever formally released them, but he's probably got enough to start a floor fight, demanding he be placed in nomination for veep.

Doesn't Huckleberry Hound have a handful of delegates too? His people might back Tundra Barbie, since it's the same flavor of religious extremism, but Willard's got the corporate Repigs on his side. If this goes to the floor, put away the dog sled and bring out the holy underwear, because Romney will end up the VP nominee.

But if the convention never happens.... problem solved.
