Here's how I think the Palin thing will play out..
The McCain campaign has apparently been feverishly trolling for disenchanted Hillary Clinton supporters this weekend:

I think after the convention they will do some polling to see if they actually have picked up any independents or Democrats with her candidacy, which of course they haven't, because the so-called PUMAs were a myth that was created by Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove.

If that's the case Ms. Palin will suddenly feel the urge to spend more time with family in the next couple of weeks.

It's going to be a hell of an October. Who knows what surprises are in store.

1. I think she'll be out very soon. As soon as the
story becomes about the politician, it's time to cut the losses. Eagleton was out in 72 as soon as the mental health issues overshadowed the campaign.

Palin was a terrible choice from the get-go and apparently not vetted at all. This fiasco exposes the McCain team as a bunch of amateurs. Good.

2. I think they are meeting as we speak
to try to figure out at what juncture they can dump her. I say the day after the convention.
