the palin daughter pregnancy story is fake......
....i think they came up with this story to try to debunk the story of the infant with down syndrome being the daughter's baby.

i think the down syndrome baby actually does belong to the daughter, just like the blogs reported. that story is far more crippling to the McPuke campaign since the daughter had the baby and is still not married.

so, they coughed up this new pregnancy story to make it seem impossible that the other baby belongs to the daughter.

my guess is that they'll report a miscarriage in a few weeks and show some falsified medical documents. the daughter's wedding will be cancelled.

then it'll be: nothing here to see....move along.

11. two counter-points:
1) there had to be a boy in the story somewhere unless it actually IS the virgin birth

2) the addition of an unidentified boy does not substantiate the claim that she is 5 months pregnant.

6. My husband said the EXACT same thing this morning
And I think that is definitely something worth considering, especially when you look at the very odd circumstances surrounding the original pregnancy. The fact that Palin didn't look pregnant, that no one else KNEW she was pregnant until she announced it in her third trimester, Bristol's very extended absence from school... It's all high suspect.

7. A few people have thought of that possibility
or of the possibility that the baby is hers but she's just telling this story because it's the quickest and least personally invasive way of ending the rumors.

But jeez, what kind of monster do you have to be to use your own kid that way?

12. firstly i dont care that she is preg so wouldnt go there, BUT i think there is
something going on. last night this story started coming to du by newbies and it all felt odd to me. so i have left this one alone to see what comes out on it.

the reason we started working this story is things didnt mesh. not looking preg, 5-8 months out with mono, not telling kids, bouncing around in heels, and the infamous ride on the plane. then add this story about daughter preg now, and the way it happened last night... something feels off

Too many newbies flocking here last night, counseling concern that this story would 'make us look bad' or was inplausable.

And STILL no one has answered WHY she got on a plane after her water broke. And what doctor in their right mind would counsel such a thing.

There's more chance of that being true than any of the Palin baby-related crap.

I don't know whether to give this forum a 100 for creativity or a zero for understanding probability.

Quite hysterical that we take state polls, which are known to be flimsy -- and in fact have a 3-5% conceded margin for error on each characteristic -- at face value, but are cynical of almost anything else.

Rove is the master of dirty tricks. This whole thing was somehow planned by him. I don't know how--and I don't know if we will ever get to the bottom of it--but there are no depths to which Rove will not sink to discredit Obama. That I do know for sure.
