How do the Republicans get away with it?
They accuse us of being elitist, then Cindy McCain walks out wearing a $300,000 outfit and she gets away with it.

They accuse of us of destroying traditional values, then choose an adulterer for Pres and a woman whose family apparently practices premarital sex for VP, and they get away with it.

They accuse us of being radical and out of touch, and then choose a VP who spoke before a secessionist party and she gets away with it.

They accuse Obama's church of being anti-American, and then choose as VP someone who belonged to a church that's anti-Semitic, and she gets away with it.

They accuse us of hitting low on Sarah Palin, but throughout the last several months continuously hit lower, and they get away with it.

It seems as if the Independents permit the Republicans to engage in any game they want, while holding the Democrats to an entirely different standard. Why is that? How do the Democrats confront that?

Maybe the Democrats should run commercials that challenge the American people to hold both parties to the same standard?

Maybe the Democrats should run an ad that says, If the Republicans get elected, we are going to lose more than the 4,000 Americans we already lost. If you elect McCain, he will do what he knows best: Use our military first and our diplomats second.

Maybe the Democrats need to frighten people the way Republicans do. Maybe we need to update LBJ's daisy ad:
