What McCain just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in his rambling, incoherent tirade was there anything that could even remotely be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this world is now dumber for having listened to it. Hard to believe Matthews could be so off on this. I didn't watch the whole thing, 5 minutes here and there was all I could take, but it all had the same droning quality. I think he just undid all the energy that Barracuda brought last night.

funny and pathetic at the same time. I actually laughed out loud a number of times, even though there was nobody here but me. That was absolutely the most "me-too" convention speech I've heard in my life!

Okay, my friends (if I may use the expression), now we can finally say: "When the voters are given a choice between a real Democrat and a fake one, they'll pick the real one every time." McCain trying to come off as a reformer, an enemy of politics as usual, was the most pathetic thing I've ever heard in my life.

I loved it when the Code Pink lady and the other protester interrupted his speech too. How on earth did they ever manage to get in there?

Also, the booing when McCain trotted out the 20-year-old party line about he's going to "lower taxes and create jobs" while Obama will "raise your taxes" sounded so phony and half-hearted and so obviously COACHED. That was one of the parts where I laughed out loud, because it was the most canned and un-spontaneous booing I've ever heard in my life!

Those are just a few of the absurdities I can think of off the top of my head. By tomorrow morning the pundits and bloggers (not to mention the rest of DU) will have pulverized that speech.
