i was shocked when i read that.

That the GOP wants to lose this one and come back in 4 years to save the day.

They know the pendulum swings one way, then the other. But in the last 20 years, we have been more under elephant rule than donkey rule.

So they probably think that it would be normal to have a dem in the house for 4 years, which is better than 8, and a black man, who is obviously unable to do anything right, since he is black (in their opinion), would ensure a swift swing back to the right by the pendulum.

I do think this is what is happening right now, with a very aggressive pro-white ticket and convention. I would not be surprised if the minorities were prevented to come in.

This was a very dumb convention, with a dumb ticket, dumb tactics and the rest of the world watches in disbelief and wonders WTF happened to the American right.

state thing is going to get more extreme if by some miracle McCain wins - and that there will end up being open conflict between the reds and blues. An Obama victory is mandatory if this country is to be turned around....otherwise, I am not optimistic about the future.
