You would have to think they've made some calls to National Enquirer.

1. Because when your opponent is committing suicide . . .
Stand back and -- above all else -- don't get in the way.

3. They probably feel it's better to stay away from this issue and let the chips fall where they may
to bring it up and then have the story become false could be very damaging.

Sometimes the best is attack is to let the other side destroy itself

4. I think they should stay as far away from it as possible even if it
is true (which, like I did with Edwards, I am awaiting confirmation from another source), this shit doesn't matter, they don't need to trash and deomonize the other side to win...

5. I should hope that they hadn't made any calls.
Let's concentrate on the economy.

Phony Palin is a losing proposition.

7. They are building their case and waiting for emotions to calm..
Send the surrogates out, if we could only get the MSM to interview them more.

8. they are cool because they are smarter than those idiots on the right &
because they have faith in the american people... if we don't win WE the people are the losers. obama would go back to congress, so would joe. they would keep doing whatever they could to help us. but obama said it all. this election isn't about him, it's about us-the american people. personally i believe if we don't win & it wasn't stolen, then we don't deserve a free country.... there has been enough suffering in a country that is supposed to be free. it will be our own fault if we lose--barring cheating

9. I am very certain that they are keeping a very long distance
away from this story. The National Enquirer is usually pretty good at this kinda stuff. I think I've heard that they have been successfully sued only one time, and that was by Carol Burnett. All of us don't need to "go there". If there is a there there, NE will uncover it and publish it... and there is a little silver lining to that very dark cloud called the John Edwards implosion... this story will be given credence by both the MSM and the public, despite the origin. We (the Dems and the Obama campaign and the blogosphere) can continue with Palin's official duties dirt and other things (like her resume) where she may have lied. There seems to be plenty to dig up and some will have legs. Must not let them stonewall this til the election. Let NE do the family and personal stuff. If it's there, then they will get it out and that will do it for McCain / Palin AND for the repukes for at least 12 to 16 years.

10. How Ironic It Would Be
If continued investigations into the Mike Wooten/Mike Monegan business lead to Sarah Palin being put under oath and at some point, the question about her sex life arises.

Nah, it would never happen.

11. No. THE ELECTION IS REAL.

The election is not really going to turn on who fucked whom or gave birth to what in Alaska.

Really. I've seen voter polls. They usually care about things like, oh, the economy, national security, crime, taxes, health care, you know, that "political stuff".
