with respect to Sarah Palin. I know who John McCain is. He is misguided and his policies would be wrong, but maybe it's the best his has. Palin strikes me as being very much about Palin--look at the way she ran in Wasilla for *mayor* or a small town on abortion and wedge issues as if it were national politics. Look at how she had to prove loyalty by making people resign, or just plain firing the police chief and librarian for not supporting her--what a bully!
She carried that same self-importance with her to the Governorship, and acted out her family drama in personnel decisions there. It's like it's just Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. Well, really? What about Wasilla, which she put $20 million in debt? What about disabled children, whose funding she slashed? What about sex education (she's against) and funding for teen mothers? What about her being no better than she ought to be, but arrogant about it?
McCain can't go on Larry King--maybe he was just too mad and keyed up about his speech this evening. But her? I think the media lock-down is because the McCampaign is still figuring out if she's media-ready.
Media-ready? What about White-House-Ready? What about "Ready on Day one?"
Oh no, asking her questions is out of bounds. How will she face Ahmedinejad or Kim Jong Il? Sexist.
Both gentlemen will tip their hats out of respect. (NOT!) Sheesh.
