The two conventions could not be even more dissimilar
The Democrats were upbeat and positive, the Republicans were downbeat and sarcastic

The Democrats were inclusive of all facets of the American experience, the Republicans were hostile to minority and urban communities.

The Democrats appealed to the working class, the Republicans showed outright hostility

I could go on and on

1. The D's were class epitomized, and the R's were classless, tactless boors.

3. We were happy and pumped,
they had to force it....even with the Gimmick put on the ticket. They still know that she's not qualified.

4. yes
And taken from the point of view of the swing voter-sometimes there is an outstanding movie, and a pretty good movie. It may take some time to establish the context...what wears well with time. I'm confident our convention had more staying power-more lasting positive images.

OTOH I thought the republican convention sucked.

5. I may be partial...
but the DNC was fun to watch. You're right. It was upbeat, fun and positive.
