I just heard it announced, but they did not say when it would be on. This should be interesting.

2. I just hope that he will appear to be a good man

and that the stories against him are either not true or exaggerated. From the stories, he is an awful person who if his ex-sister in law were not Sarah Palin, we would strongly dislike. If those stories are unfair, his reputation has been damaged country wide by someone far more powerful than he is. This smear has gone beyond trying to get him fired.

The best scenario is that he can say things like, she was ok enough with me before the divorce, that (Palin kid) stayed with us for (time period) - showing photos from a happier time. He could then speak of the nightmare of the accusations and the most powerful person in the state trying to fire him.

I'm glad the media is investigating this - they should because there is likely abuse of power, however, if this man is found to really be despicable, even if proven that abuse of power might be seen as unimportant for the voters she aims to get.

6. Well he might well be an asshole of a husband, but if
he did his job as a trooper, his marital life is irrelevant.

And therefore, Palin had no right to reportedly abuse her power and get him fired to stick up for her sister.

I don't claim to know everything about the case, so I'm interested in listening to him, and continue to learn more about what exactly happened.

governor misusing her power to get him fired or to fire the guy who wouldn't fire him. I was simply pointing out, that some of her target voters will care less about the civil rights aspect and go with the emotional "he hurt my sister and kids". Of course, it is good to get more information. (It is disturbing especially if this is not an isolated incident - but part of a pattern.)

8. What legal issues would prevent him from speaking?
She is the one being investigated, not him. He was investigated already (years ago) and served his 5 day suspension.

4. Well. . . If they won't let them talk to HER.. What's a 24/7 cable
news network supposed to DO?

Maybe they'll rethink having stiff-armed Larry King the other day...

7. Payback for McCain's attempt to intimidate, maybe?
I'm sure it's primarily the profit motive, but if McCain had been willing to play ball, and had gone on with his Larry King interview, might CNN not have done this?
