Shouldn't someone tell him or something?

This reminds me of what Barack said in his Mile High Speech--
It's not that McCain doesn't care, it's that John McCain doesn't know.

1. I've Heard A Couple Of Times In Analysis Of The RNC That John McCain......
successfully separated himself from Bush at this convention. I really think if you poll the American public that was able to stay awake and watch this trainwreck - that most wouldn't have caught that separation. It is really nuanced and I don't think most people are as perceptive as the talking heads on the cable news stations. I think most people will still associate McCain to Bush and I think that the Dems need to keep pushing the fact that a McCain victory is 4 more years of more of the same.

2. He's trying to separate himself from Bush by stealing Obama's campaign message.

3. That just seems sooo obvious. Who wants to vote for that
kind of leadership or lackthereof? Can't even come up with your own message. How sad.

4. And in a twist on the adage: Why vote for a faux-Democrat, when you can have the Real Thing?!

7. Think He Missed That Email
But what idiot campaign person recommended he try to steal our slogan of 'hope and change' while so explicitly, displaying neither, at his age? Free advice, McCain. 'Fire them and Palin before you are forced to resign."

9. They're trying to negate Obama's advantage
they know that if they cede 'change' to Obama they're toast, so they have to make it something both candidates say they're after, thereby negating Obama's advantage.

to a degree it will work, but Obama needs to keep hammering it down with the 90% voting with Bush etc.

10. We're going to march right into Washington and give those whippersnappers a piece of our minds
That part of the McCain speech was just plain painful. He didn't identify anything at all specific. Just claims that they would be "changing Washington", whatever that means. As far as any of knows, that could mean overturning Roe v. Wade, as at least Palin is specific and her sponsors are specific about that. Given how beholden these people are to lobbyists, I'm just not sure what else they could be talking about.
