Not ready to campaign -- not ready to lead.

I've watched a lot of conventions in my time and after every single one, I recall the candidates immediately jumping on a bus or a plane or a train and start campaigning vigorously. Some of that campaigning is to capitalize on the post-convention bounce, some of it is to get more press, some is to show that the candidates have the excitement, drive and energy to lead.

Palin is a rare exception to this pattern - instead of running off the meet more voters, she ran off to Alaska right after the convention for some undisclosed reasons. She's not campaigning for an office she claims to want.

If she's not ready to campaign, how in the world is she ready to take elected office and be a leader?

Not campaigning it tells the voters she's not interested in speaking with them and not interested in getting their votes.

These points need to be hammered home.

Then the baby's due. She's gonna be busy for awhile. No time to talk to her 'base', the press, or anybody else who could ask any questions.
