Will Sanctimonius Sarah show to face Joe Biden? If you don't think so, how will
the McSame camp wriggle her way out of it?

I don't think she will; I just can't come up with a face-saving scenario for her. It will have some bizarre connection to the word "sexism," no doubt; hypocrisy is lost on these louts.

1. Bristol's wedding will be on the same day
"My daughter's getting married, so I can't make the debate. You know me... family first!" :eyes:

4. In their world, that would absolutely work, of course.
in the real world, it would be laughable, but that's not where they reside.

13. There would be no REAL cost to not show, there are perception problems
mostly with people that would already vote against them. but the reality is it wouldnt convince enough people to matter.

This election is almost set in stone, I think we re ahead, but there arent any more game changers in the next 50 some days that the candidate can impact.

Thats what the repubs know and thats what Obama/Biden know

3. The debate will be like Bush vs Gore
It is Biden I'm worried about. The expectations for him are high.

The expectations for Palin are low.

Palin defeated a much more qualified Dem for governor because she connects with voters. I HATED that voters were fooled by Bush (I was not), but some horrible candidates just have a knack for getting greedy, fearful, willfully ignorant people to vote for them.

10. They will demand pre-determined questions....
or at least gain access to same.

They're repukes, they're gonna cheat.

12. Yes she will, with pre-written RNC replies to potential questions and a compliant media
she will do "really well. She held her own against a seasoned Senator. That was really amazing, Chuck." "Yes it sure was, Tom."

The RNC will handle her like their other scary fundamentalist candidates. Give her sets of pre-determined answers to questions to memorize. She will also be given some nasty punchlines to drop into the mix about how very smart people didn't protect us before, so intelligence isn't everything.

They'll prep little Sarah to the nines to go up against Big Bad Joe. Expectations will be lowered. The press may have a couple of gotchas handy, but she'll be prepped for gotchas with some of those witty punchline combacks. Doesn't even matter if they are not relevant to the questions being asked. They'll be funny and make good sound bytes in the "Sarah held her own" news stories after the debate.

On the other hand, if reporters realized the seriousness facing our country, and the need to shake up the corporate establishment, they'd issue tough questions to her and discuss her lack of qualifications more openly.
