I totally agree that Sarah Polin’s daughter is off limits. But Sarah’s judgment is open for scrutiny.

Sarah, like many on the far right, believe that the best way to handle the teaching young people about sex is to either ignore it and hope it goes away or get tough and demand abstinence. I think Sarah, who describes herself as a pit-bull with lipstick, would use the get tough policy. In any event both these method are proven to be inadequate.

Young people need education so they can make informed decisions on their own. Sarah and the far right are against this type of education. Since the year 2000, sex education for young people has been suppressed by the right which has resulted in the increase in the number of abortions.

1. A shame that Chelsea wasn't off limits for Rush and his ilk
as he ridiculed her looks when she was 15 yrs old or so.

4. McCain't too.
When he asked why Chelsea was so "ugly." His "joke" was a dig at both Chelsea and Hillary. He's a disgusting creep.

2. Absolutely NOT! Palin dragged her fat ass into the media spotlight, so the tramp is fair game.

5. Eloquently put.
Palin introduced her last Friday in Dayton and had her on stage yesterday at the convention. It may be the last we see of her. All candidates "drag" their families into the "media spotlight" to some extent. Obama's children were on stage at the convention and a few times during the primaries.

If Palin takes her around on the campaign trail or she campaigns independently for her mother (like Chelsea did in the primaries), then I agree. Otherwise, the families should be off limits.

6. When Palin backs off the rhetoric of the anti-choice, abstinence-only talk
then I'll leave Bristol alone.

And really this isn't about the kid but a Mom who wants to force our country to do one thing with our daughters but does the exact opposite with her own. If Bristol was a poor, underage minority girl the republicans would scorn her.

8. Agree, it isn't about the kid but the mom that has failed using right wing thinking. nm
