Todd Palin's ex-business partner has just filed an emergency motion...
to have his divorce papers sealed. He's the guy who Palin allegedly had an affair with while she was married.

25. Wuh-woh.
McCain Lawyers are triple-timing it all over Alaska, I bet. (I don't know, but Alaska.)

So many files to seal! So many books to ban!

Why are we (and the media) being so unfair to this poor pit bull with lipstick?

13. Actually...
I don't think folks are saying that she had an affair with him. The quote from NE is "the affair that almost ended her career." Reportedly one of her aides was Richter's wife... she had an affair, and Palin fired her. The accusation is Abuse of Power not adultery. I know the idea that she had an affair herself would be much juicier and more damaging with her base, but I don't think that's the case at all. Getting all het up about this is only going to lead to disappointment when the truth comes out... and her base will all go, "Is that all the fuss was about? Well, I'd fire her too!" or something like that.

Sorry to rain on your parade:(

19. I wholeheartedly agree with you.
Her pattern of abusing her positions of power is much more concerning when she is being considered for VP... and thereby possibly POTUS! An adulterous affair still shows a character flaw, but not as serious a concern to the country at large. I do think though that an affair would be more damaging with her base and with the "low information voters"... easier to understand, and make a judgement on, KWIM?

16. Why the response from Mccain then?
They obviously believe it is an affair SP had.

I'm sure thatthe National Enquirer (Ugh, I know) already have seen them. They may be sleezeballs, but ever since they paid out the um...nose in lawsuits, my guess is they CYA fairly well.
