Simmer down.
Too much hand-wringing on DU these days.

It's unreadable.

Take deep breaths and relax.

Forget the media, the pundits, the pollsters and all those who would have us whipped into a frenzy for their own personal gain.

It WILL be okay.

There is no need for panic, but there is need for focus.

What do you think is the #1 issue that the media is ignoring today? Let's try to get that out there.

2. Jeezus, I know.
What a bunch of worry warts. Look at the state polls for a swift kick in worriers ass!

I still don't see how mcpow CAN win. He has a nearly impossible task of sweeping the Big Swing states. Obama can effectively block a mcpow presidency by 12 different scenarios, most of those being with ONE STATE.

Mcpow has ONE way to win, ALL the Big Swings. It's just not happening. I know we have a ways to go, but the trend has been to Obama.

Quit complaining, start campaigning!

4. Thanks for the shot of common sense... we mustn't let ourselves
panic--I know Obama and Biden aren't-- they're strategizing and will come out swinging.

Thanks! I needed some pep-talking. In fact, I just posted about feeling so depressed since watching the stupid RNC.

7. I can't tell you how confident I feel today
Yes, yesterday I was a bit nervous, because when they're so relentlessly mean spirited, I do get worried, but today the game is afoot.

Today, we're fired up.

Today, we're ready to go.

Today is the first day of the end of McSame's campaign.

11. In 2004, 20% of voters listed "Economy" as their #1 issue.
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 12:31 PM by Kristi1696
In this election, 48% of voters list "Economy" as their #1 issue.

In short, "last time" is NOT "this time".

We have the upper hand when it comes to the economy. It was just revealed today that our unemployment rate is at a 5-year high at 6.1%. Why don't we focus on getting the media to cover that?

ETA: Sources, considering I went through the trouble of looking this up.

16. What Good is Focusing on "Getting the Media to" Do Anything?
The media is OWNED. They only listen to the men who sign their paychecks.

12. Its not hand wringing
Hand wringing? This is full hysteria we are witnessing here.
Unmitigated hate and unrepentent sexism. I mean really,
doesn't anyone understand what they are saying when they call
Palin a witch? Its boilerplate sexism. Not the kind that cost
women opportunities, but the kind that cost women their lives.
Aren't we listening to our own message?
