Media's Revenge: Ignore Palin
Media's Revenge: Ignore Palin

Josh Orton, who apparently did not get enough of the Media's Palin feeding frenzy, reacts to the news that Palin is going back to Alaska and is snubbing the Media by urging: "Traditional media: get thee to Alaska!"

I urge the opposite - Media - ignore Palin. My advice is both what I want as a Democrat and legitimate advice for the Media. As a Dem, I would much rather the Media cover McCain and the fact his agenda is identical to George Bush's eight years in office. For the Media, the best way to smoke Palin out is in fact to ignore her and to cover McCain's similarities to Bush. I guarantee you McCain will be trotting out Palin in no time as a result.

1. If it weren't for the long-standing incestuous relationship, it would seem logical. nt

I was at home for lunch watching Obama fielding questions without notes in a warehouse/ factory in PA. When I got home, CNN and MSNBC were covering him. FOX was covering McCain's campaign, waiting for him and Palin to show up for a speech. Well, as soon as Palin began to introduce McCain, CNN and MSNBC cut to her, leaving a great conversation.

One thing that Obama mentioned when he was speaking was that the Republicans talk about themselves and talk about him, but do not talk about the middle class.

So, we get forced over to Palin and she is talking about herself and about McCain. The biggest surprise was that, to talk about herself and McCain, she has to use notes. I was watching with my dad and we were both saying, "Obama can talk about any issue without notes, and she needs notes to talk about herself." McCain was the same as her. They gave the same stump speech that they gave at the convention and were off. CNN and MSNBC both later cut back to Obama after a commercial where he was fielding questions about coal.
