MSM spent whole spring bashing Obama for "failing to connect to white voters"
because he only captured about 60% of the white vote and couldn't get a handful of white people to vote for him.

Yet they have been strangely silent about the virtually all-white Republican convention and the fact that McCain not only hasn't earned, but doesn't seem the least bit interested in getting, anything more than a negligible number of black voters to support him.

Where are the "Why isn't McCain connecting with black voters" and "Why can't McCain close the deal with minorities?" and "What does McCain need to do to earn the black vote?" stories?

Hmmm?

2. There's no story there, sadly
Bush did terribly with black voters. McCain obviously has even less chance, so the Republicans' abandonment of them is not surprising.

Because black voters do not make up a large part of the overall electorate, it is quite possible to win the Presidency without getting a single black vote. Obama's struggle with white voters is thus seen as much more important.

3. cut to the minority at the RNC shot
they showed every non white person in the audience they could. Granted it took 12 cuts each time to do it. I swear they were changing clothes and standing if different locations.

5. That IS a story
It is just as possible for Obama to win the election without winning the sliver of white voters the MSM is so obsessed about.

But the story is not whether one can win without a certain demographic. The story is why a political party completely ignores an entire racial group. That IS a story.

4. They always ask why Obama can't "close the deal," but never
ask the same about the Cryptkeeper. You'd think, being around since the beginning of time, just his name recognition would put him over the top.

6. Yes! I'd like to see them ask those questions.
But the RNC would pretend it wasn't so.
