Does the "Smile" creep you out too?
I kept meaning to post something on this... but after last night I really wanted to mention it.

Why is it that McLame ALWAYS smiles at the most un-opportune times?

It seems like every time he says something that SHOULD be taken seriously, he lets out that fake ass grin.

It's starting to scare me.

What is he thinking when he does that?

"Do they buy it?"
"I think I pulled it off."
"I hope I'm not pissing off Dick."
"Do they know I'm lying?"
"Oops... I farted"

I don't know... maybe it's just me... but it scares the shit out of me.

# Glibness and Superficial Charm

# Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

# Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

# Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

6. I've noticed it too. When Palin was speaking last weekend, McSame was standing
there looking really nervous as she spoke and then with that clearly forced grin when she finished.
At some level, maybe McCain gets what nut cases most of the g.o.p. base really are and it bothers him, as it should any thinking person. He could have taken the Chuck Hagel route but chose to sleep with the devil. Just another sell out political hack.

8. The whole audience last night looked like vampires. Hungry vampires
it creeped me out. The smile was creepy too. I guess that is what happens when you get so many Slytherins together in one place.

11. Smiling at inappropriate times
I seem to remember that a psychology class informed me that this was showing a lack of empathy. The person smiling is unaware that they are giving this non verbal clue to the true lack of any feelings about someone or a situation.

Laughing at inappropriate times is, as I recall, usually a stress reaction, indicating that you need the release of endorphins (or dopamine?) that a laugh can produce.

12. I think it is a part of the manufactured persona he is trying to sell.

He is actually a very angry person (according to quotes from some of his colleagues I have read) and flies off the handle into uncontrollable angers. Apparently his handlers have told him he must appear congenial when he speaks before crowds....hence the flashing of the inappropriate smile. Since he's not really fealing it, he's not sure when to do it....smile that is. If you notice his eyes are always darting around too. This is a sign of instability also, I believe. It scares the shit out of me to think of this man as President, in control of American might. He seems intent on more wars.

14. Mccain's smile IS very creepy.
I half expected him to smile during the applause following his "swing-state, average-Americans who are facing hardships" repertoire, but he managed to remain straight-faced. It did seem to me, though, he had to fight to resist smiling then. And, then again, when he DOES smile, it seems forced.

EVERYTHING about him is creepy to me.
