He may be trying to get the lid put on his divorce papers because he knows that now everyone will be wanting copies of them, and even if there is no affair indicated, I could see why someone wouldn't want their divorce details as national news.

There may be other stuff in there that's more damning - like spouse abuse.

I'm just sayin' - this would be something any divorced couple I know would do under those circumstances.

Seems he could have anticipated some scrutiny and would have done that sooner. Pretty strange this is all suddenly days after the fact.

9. Motion for expedited consideration - what this means
When you go into court, you either ask the judge to schedule a hearing, or you ask for something be immediately considered, for some valid reason.

What I find interesting is that Scott Richter went in, Pro Per (representing himself) - that there wasn't a lawyer going in and requesting this.

Scott seems to do a lot of his own legal work.

10. From personal experience of both types
Small town lawyering is a lot different than major metropolitan area lawyering.

Scott may even know the judge personally.

I can hear Rove now telling McCain if he had just worked with them they could have covered this up, but now they are going to have to expose themselves in the 'clean up' process.
