Oh, and if you're not a volunteer, get your butt out there! You're not gonna win this election by bitching on internet forums - we have to have a big ground game!

Seeing the Obama teams in action is a wonderful thing. I'm an FO in Wisconsin and seeing team leaders take ownership of the campaign for themselves is truly beautiful. 973 dials in my turf last night!

31. Undecideds to vote Obama cool is better. Dems getting them to volunteer takes emotion.
I'm sure that you're at the point where you've talked to enough people that you know how to read the conversation and take it accordingly. That's why canvassing is my favorite type of volunteering. You get to talk with people face to face and let them drive the conversation and we push them to where they're already going.

28. I have my volunteer orientation at the Dallas office on September 14th!
Would have had it on August 30th, but had to go out of town that weekend. Looking forward to helping in whatever capacity necessary (although I am an attorney and would like to help in that regard if they need me).

33. I'm going to volunteer!
Tomorrow morning I'm going to a breakfast meeting to volunteer to register voters! It's not where I live because I'm in the boonies out on 30 acres of desert and dirt roads, but it's in a neighboring town. I am SO EXCITED!

I contacted a local Democratic club to ask if there were any offices opening up here and he said they haven't found anyone who would rent to them for two months. :( But I can register voters on the weekends to do my part, right?

34. You can try calling around to law offices or realtors in your area
and see if they'll let you use their phones for a night a week. Someone in the local Dems Club must know a lawyer who might be able to let you do that. You can get call lists from the Neighbor 2 Neighbor tool on barackobama.com.
