1. ABC identified an Alaskan State Senator as an ARKANSAS
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 02:42 PM by stopbush
State Senator in their graphic.

Oh well, they both start with "A".

9. There's lots of sloppy work lately. It's the state of the Union I am afraid
The do it quick and hit "submit" syndrome gets us all from chatroom denisons to McCain's visual effects folks to the media.

2. Such a hypocrite - vindictive and arrogant
McCain's judgment needs to be hammered on. Choosing someone who is under investigation, like it doesn't matter.

French is serious.
Monegan is honest.

Palin doesn't have a prayer.

22. Monegan is well loved in Anchorage and the valley
She has taken on both the Alaska State Troopers and the Anchorage Police Department with this firing. Now that the Trooper union is standing by Wooten things are heating up for her. McCain's goons are trying to save her ass and everyone is lawyering up. The police officers and Troopers that know all the Palin family secrets are not happy that she is going after one of their own. Her bullying and showing everyone Wooten's files is going to be her downfall. Subpoena their asses!

Check out Monegan's bio. http://www.muni.org/apd1/chiefmoneganbio.cfm

In January of 1974, Walt was hired as a patrolman with the Anchorage Police Department. 8. Isn't it odd that she wants the guy who would have to pay
support to her sister to be FIRED from his job? I have NO IDEA is the Palin's or their family have a lot of $$ or not, but surely people who are looking for support checks don't wanat the provider to be unemployed?????

17. THAT would be Palin's sister's problem. Palin just wants revenge
it doesn't matter to Sarah that this might have negative impacts on her sister's kids.

Bottom line, regardless of what trooper Wooten did on the job, Sarah Palin is nepotistic and not a very nice person.

28. It is odd isn't it?
Maybe she went after Wooten because he and other valley troopers knew all about her son Track's multiple underage arrests? Why did she send Track to Michigan for his senior year in high school while she was running for governor? Why is the trooper union now going after Palin and defending Wooten?

30. Hmmm...I dunno. I would think, especially in a relatively small
small community, the son of the Governor, and having a relative on the State Police would be an advantage.

I know I could never get away with it in Atlanta, but years ago, when I lived in a suburb of Pgh. we had a very good friend on the local police force, and through him, we knew many other officers on different surrounding twp. forces. There are many different ways to get out of trouble. ie: If you get a speeding ticket, and when you go to traffic court and the arresting officer doesn't show up, the ticket goes away! I have to believe that kind of favors can still happen in places like AK and other smaller communities too.

I'm thinking there's something else going on with here. Why did she fire the librarian who had helped her get elected? I can't recall the others, but apparently she simply got rid of anyone who didn't sowtow to her every wish! THAT to me sounds like a mental problem!

and it's harder to win custody when you've been fired from your job for misconduct.

31. But
But for every effort like this one there's one like the blowing smoke thing I watched on CNN this morning. Oh they did it correctly by the "journalistic standards" that currently apply with their allegeds in all the right places and notations of denial, but it was still basically a hit piece on Caribou Barbie's former brother-in-law, and by extension a mitigation of the charges against her.
I still think the main leverage to come out of this is the questions it raises about mcinane's judgment and allegiances. We know he sold out to big oil in June when he went to Houston to confer with oil executives, pick up bagfuls of large checks and be read to from the drill here, drill now gospel. But this would appear that he's sold out to the real fringe fundagelicals as well.

36. Very defensive, irritated, jumpy, nervous, it's obvious, she's used to getting her way.
Right from the start, I was surprised how she appeared so confident in her first appearance. If anyone else had been grabbed and put on national TV in 24 hours, they'd be showing some shock and surprise. A little evidence of disorientation. That would make perfect sense.

But she looks like she expected this and is used to getting her own way. No surprise at all. "Of course I'm the vice president. I am obviously the most qualified republican in this country."

Huge character faults, here. Lots of ego. Serious lack of perspective on reality. This all fits with her inner reality, that she's the one holding the power.

25. This baby is going to bleed right up to election day.... Palin is in deep trouble
Delaying the investigatory report will just keep this in the headlines all the way up to election day. It will also permit the MSM and others with local knowledge to find each other and begin putting the pieces together.

There is something clarifying about being placed under oath and knowing that if you fail to tell the truth you likely will go to jail.

So WHO is going to lie for Palin to help her hide this?

There is something about the business end of a hunting rifle that Rove might find difficult to overcome.

Sure would be refreshing to hear that they kicked Rove out on his behind.
