Disgraced sprinter released
Former Olympic champion Marion Jones was in prison for lying about her steroid


Yesterday at the top of Drudge:
the Mayor who was fired.


"Detroit mayor, soon off to jail, talks of comeback..."
"New ad links Obama to Kilpatrick..."


Both small stories that don't really merit front page coverage. Each contains a headline and a face. associates failure and fraud with black faces.

Always presented with plausible deniability.

They know even small things matter and they are throwing everything at this thing full bore.

3. I disagree - both of these stories merit headlines
just because the people who put themselves in these positions are black shouldn't stop the media from reporting on it. If a Gold medal Olympic winner who admitted steriod use was white their photo would not have ended up on national news? If a mayor of a large city had an affair and committed perjury to cover it up and was white it wouldn't have been national news?

even the tone of the subject in each photo underscores what the stories were chosen for.

when you watch BushCo enough, you begin to recognize a pattern of behaviour, a modus operandi.

there's is always to have something with deniable or dual meaning.

every disgraced black person is Obama. So every white face should be picture next to McCain such as Abramhoff,and all of the other crooks in bush's cabinet and on and on and on there must not be any white criminals in this country:sarcasm:

if "fear of black" were not being used as a heavy motivator by the GOP.

After the comment Obama made about Cialis commercials, Cialis was running ads featuring an impotent Obama lookalike.

Symbols matter. Advertising people know this. Can you deny that they are also frequently injecting subtle hints of sex into advertising?

12. Unfortunately,
there are many in my neck of the woods who will see Obama in every disgraced black face.

The same folks see disgraced whites as bad individuals, yet they consider blacks as a group.

this is about winning and injecting helpful symbolism. Its Editorial punditry.

I am familiar with this view of blacks since moving to atlanta; this type of thing is ingrained here.

Steve and Vicki on the radio - they love to report Bobby and Whitney's short comings with condescension.

This is where the whole "Bradley Effect" thing kicks in. Those white people who are leaning towards Obama actually get in the privacy of the voting booth and then it hits them -- the whole parade of black crime, disgraced black politicians, OJ Simpson, etc. Then they panic and go for the safe, white choice.

16. I agree, the media is large and sometimes appears to be concerted
there's an old saying, "Just because you're Paranoid, doesn't mean somebody's Not After You.." :)

I watch for this stuff too.. Friday News Dump on top of it? In other words, no rebutting..

Good old Put shit on the Front page, later deny it on page 3000, THAT is a FOR CERTAIN Media Bush Co treat..

Should inspire us all to fight all the more for Obama. Sorry I can follow the thread, but I'm working on a Flash Political attack ad, that's also going go be getting after the media. I want to force a boycott.. let them know we mean BIZNESS.. :)
