Now that the 'McCain = Independent Maverick' spin is in full gear...
...here's a simple, easy retort to anyone you meet who shits that line out of their mouth - If he were a maverick, he WOULDN'T BE THE GOP's NOMINEE! Have you paid ANY attention to how they've governed for the last eight years? Have you wondered WHY he was allowed to win their primary?

1. The real Republcan maverick is RON PAUL
George W. McCain's been a Washington insider for more than 20 years. If he were really a maverick he wouldn't have been part of the establishment and he wouldn't have voted with George W. Bush 90% of the time.

Ron Paul, however, was banned from the convention because he wouldn't support the establishment candidate, George W. McCain! If any Republican wants change and can't vote for Obama, they should vote for Ron Paul as a write-in candidate.

2. If he was a "real maverick" he would not have picked RIGHT WING EXTREMIST Sarah Palin
He wanted Lieberman, the right wing made him pick a CREATIONIST who believes abortion should be denied to victims of RAPE and INCEST. And that's just scratching the surface.

4. Oops! I apologise...
..you know the sad thing is, I wouldn't bet against that sign having been planted by McCain's people in order to make him more like "the common man". They can use it as a ploy to scream "ELITIST!" when people with brains point out the inherent funniness of it.

5. Yep. People who spell correctly, or use adverbs for that matter,

...really made me realise just what a common man should be. No one from cosmopolian areas can be trusted, because they're just too darn unpatriotic. Those liberal New Yorkers have never had to deal with a terrorist strike!
