I heard a nasty rumor about Palin...
I heard that she doesn't give a shit about global warming and that she's wasted a lot of money on ensuring that the Alaskan wolf population is decimated by aereal hunting. I alo heard that she wants to see to it that women lose their right to choose whether or not to give birth!

I think these rumors warrant a full investigation and as much media attention as possible.

I know...these are more than mere rumors. But maybe if we call them rumors, people will start paying attention...

10. Scandalous!
We should send it to the National Enquirer, to see if they've researched it!

3. She tried to effectively Gut Federal Hate Crimes in her State
During the 2006 gubernatorial campaign, she told the Eagle Forum that she opposed expanded hate crime legislation. She branded all heinous crimes as hate crimes. This view of what constitutes a hate crime goes squarely against the wide body of law and public policy that defines a hate crime as a willful act or threat based solely on racial, gender or religious animus. By lumping common crimes, no matter how repulsive, into the hate crime category, Palin would effectively gut enforcement of federal hate crime laws.

4. Really!
I heard one that she supports the teaching of creationism, opposes sex education and believes in abstinence-only education. I heard another one that she opposes equal pay for women for the same job a man does.

I mean "Wow! How shocking this all is!"

13. If people would really sit down and think about these things...
instead of zeroing in on the tabloid crock, they would be shocked.

These are the real issues that are going to get people out to the polls.

5. I heard a rumor ...
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 05:11 PM by RoyGBiv
That Sarah Palin is a Dominionist, a mindset of conservative Christian thought that seeks to impose a specific variation of Christian values on a secular government, i.e. to withdraw the protections of the First Amendment prohibiting an establishment of religion.

I also heard a rumor she was a mayor of a town of around 5,000 people and that this is the basis of the majority of her "executive" experience. Now, I dunno about all that, but I work for an organization that employs about double the number of people who lived in her town, and we run on budget and haven't sold any assets at a loss and tried to call it a profit. And, people in my organization don't get fired just because someone doesn't like them. In fact our leader openly solicits ideas from all levels and just last quarter enacted a proposal offered by a part-time employee who figured out an idea that saved several thousand dollars a year. Our leader didn't claim the idea as her own either. She openly admitted she hadn't thought of it and praised the individual who did.

So, I'm thinkin' our head lady (and she is a lady) might make a better VP than Ms. Palin.

Maybe Wasilla would like to hire her to get their town back on a healthy financial standing.

Ya know, like, doing things that actually matter. :-)

No offense to Wasilla residents, but you people elected her. You get to deal with her legacy.

20. I'm a Union member, and proud of it...
I'm damn sick and tired of people trying to tell me that unions are evil.

This rumor should be investigated by unions throughout the country. And if it's found to be true ;-) no expense should be spared to expose this scandal to the public!
