On a youtube posting an Alaskan resident claimed that the Plane Palin sold failed to hit reserve price on ebay twice. She then went to an external auctioneer and sold the price for $600,000 less than market value.
No proper details as yet but worth looking in to.

If that is the case, then what she said was technically true,
I don't think she said "I sold it on Ebay". But I could be mistaken.
