What the F...? "No Balanced Budgets"
I just saw a new McLoser TV ad. They show shots of Obama, Harry Reid and other old white guys (but not Kennedy interestingly) using that old 'Washington is broken and it's the Democrat's fault' meme. I gritted my teeth watching this typical liberal/Democrat bashing. But then it said this little tidbit about us, "No balanced budgets"

I'm sorry, but WHAT THE FUCK? No balanced budgets? Wasn't there a bit of a budget surplus when Bill left office?

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Oh, wait, I get it. Maybe a budget surplus means we OVER balanced the budget.

The DNC/Obama camp needs to hit back hard.

And I need a drink.

1. How can we balance a budget when we're spending $10B each month in Iraq.
The sad thing is that idiots are going to buy in to this bullshit.

3. Yes it is sad
I understand that politics involves exaggerating from time to time. But they've gone straight to outright lies. :grr:

2. We wanted to raise taxes to pay for the war
and they wouldn't let us. That's what Kerry's voting for one war funding bill, before he voted against a different one, was all about. How we were going to pay for the war so we had half a chance at balancing budgets.

4. I just talked to an "independent" voter the other day about funding the war
He was shocked to find out that this is the first major war where we haven't raised taxes to pay for it.
