We let Rove have his way in the battle of the language when they first installed "W" or "Dubya" as Bush Jr.'s nickname.

We let him get away with it when we should have pushed for "Junior" instead.

We may be more organized with the 527's, but they've owned the language for YEARS now. Aren't we supposted to be the smarty-pants, elitist liberals? How did we lose the battle over language of all things?

6. Technically, I think, he's not a junior.
41 = George Herbert Walker Bush

43 = George Walker Bush

10. I'm not completely familiar with the curious folkways of rich...
New Englanders, but where I come from he's a "Junior" (since he has his dad's name and there are no numbers following it) :)

It's time for us to get off our butts and start organizing. So glad organizations like Moveon are out there, but we can do more....

Also "religious" people tend to contribute more regularly to organizations like their church. People on our side do not give regulary to the causes we believe, another tragic flaw on our side....

7. Why not be more descriptive --
We can call him "the intolerant moron who dislikes rational thought, research, telling the truth, people standing up to him, human rights, peace, clean water, clean air, small businesses, balanced budgets, homosexuals, safe sex, and the middle class." Well, I guess that would be a bit long. Maybe we can just stick to "dipshit." -B

9. I resisted that ruse from the beginning...
it was obviously an attempt to convey folksy familiarity (and branding)

"Junior" is the nicest thing that I call that lying, murdering, brain-dead piece of shit

11. that's what he WAS called through his childhood
which of course lasted through his thirties and possibly forties- I know it's not technically correct to call him that, but I love it. It plays into the Oedipal conflict that is his life (and, sadly, ours and the rest of the world's too).
