James Taranto (WSJ) says SBVT ad "more compelling" than Kerry's chart
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 06:00 PM by JohnLocke
We're in reporting mode this week, but here's something we just can't resist blogging. On Friday night we received an e-mail from the Kerry campaign informing us of its latest salvo against the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth: a chart titled "Web of Connections" (link in PDF). Aside from being a blatant rip-off of the New York Times, this strikes us as showing a Dukakisian level of political incompetence. Consider the attack and response:

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth: "John Kerry has not been honest .... And he lacks the capacity to lead. . . . John Kerry betrayed the men and women he served with in Vietnam. . . . He dishonored his country."

Kerry campaign: Hey, look at this chart!

Who's got the more compelling message?

Lies are exalted over facts. :grr: :grr: :grr:
