If we get a fair election Kerry wins in a landslide. Have you called your Senators today and bothered them about BBV? Have you registered any new dem voters?

Honestly, I am getting sick and fucking tired of DUers coming here and posting how fucking badly Kerry is doing. I talked to 3 ex-repubs in the last week, doesn't sound to impressive but I live in MS. I promise you if people are getting feed up with Bush here then that fucker is going down.

Quit this defeatest bull shit! If you don't do anything to change it then you are part of the PROBLEM not the solution so in the words of a real asshole by the name of Bill O'riely, "STFU!"

3. Posters are allowed to criticize, while still supporting their candidate.
Or....did we change into the GOP overnight and I didn't notice?

To support a candidate does NOT mean to totally agree with his/her strategy 100% of the time. That is not support. That is worship.

I support and vote for candidates. But they are only human. I do not worship them.

I fully support Kerry....110%. I will vote for him, no matter WHAT he does or does not do between now and November. I also recognize that he and his staff are much more qualified to steer his campaign than I am. BUT....it is OKAY for me to say that he should listen to Carville, if Carville is offing up some advice and opining that the Kerry message is muddled. Sorry....the message IS muddled at this point. He has done fine all year. Now he's slumping just a bit (natural for Repub convention time, anyway). But it is okay to say that you or I or others think he should speak up more about the attacks on him.

What I think is NOT okay is to wish that "your" candidate (say, Dean or Clark or whoever) were the nominee. That's not being supportive, IMO, and is not seeking to help Kerry.

4. Ditto...JK is just biding his time...
Why should Kerry give the ReTHUGlicans any ammo to use against him at the convention? The second it's over, JK will really open it up!

6. There's no "Defeatist Bull Crap" here! Concern over "unlearned lessons"
might be what you are seeing. Were you around and "tuned in" when Gore was running? Did you understand what was done to us Democrats during the Mid-term elections?

What's your history?

7. Right on and pass the ammunition.

This is not two-fucking-thousand. Kerry is not Al Gore.
We are wise to the ways of the media whores and the GOP
shills, and they are talking only to the Kool-Aid drinking
base.

Good Post!!

8. Thank goodness you said that
With all the huge crowds Kerry is garnering, and the way he treats people is a sign that he is doing well. Of course, the right wingers would love to make us believe he is going down because they are worried sick. There are a lot of stories coming out right now about the Bush Administration, and they use this rheoteric to throw us out of focus. There are many republicans who are changing to vote for Kerry this time because they simply can't stand Bush.
Sometimes, I come on this forum to get out of the doldrums, and when I see the negative headlines and posts, I just sign off and go to another website like Democrats. com and Buzzflash, and this is a shame. This is supposed to be a forum for us, not against us.

9. No one is defeatist about Kerry. The fear is this media
That can takes, distorts and twists his past actions and his present words. The media is deliberately broadcasting misinformation about Kerry. And it is very difficult to see what he can do about it. Remember Al Gore?

10. It's time for another HUGE march
One that will be counted properly! Just watch tapes of the last march if you need a "pick me up". It was very inspirational!

11. looked like a bunch of freaks and crybabies to me
The red states are watching, too. Sometimes i think us libs are guilty of only talking to ourselves and are naive about the way most other people think. I want responsible protest that shows tolerance for people whose ideas we despise -- then we will win big!

12. The surest contrast between Bush and Kerry campaigns
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 06:49 PM by coalition_unwilling
Is that Kerry doesn't try to screen out Republicans from his campaign events, whereas Bush campaign makes attendees sign "loyalty oaths".

Need I say more on the issue of 'tolerance'?

On edit: Here's a brief snippet from Joel McNally's article from the Madison (WI) Capital Times, as posted on today's CommonDreams.org:

The Bush campaign should know. It was a few obnoxious Republicans at an overflow public rally for John Kerry in Milwaukee who proceeded to drown out Kerry and his wife Teresa with bullhorns and air sirens. After Kerry referred to the demonstrators as "goons," Republicans launched an organized letter-writing campaign to newspapers claiming the disruption was a shining example of free speech and legitimate political protest.

13. Go to Blockbuster or listen to AAR
I got movies today and have Air America on all day. Randi was very funny today. I know its hard with the new polls out but like my husband says f*ck the polls!

They aren't counting the new voters which we ALL have signed up with droves and we know who the media is going to talk about...
