Watching McCain's campaign manager on Bloomberg: Highlights

His words: The convention was a turning point between Bush's Republican Party and the new "reform" Republican party. They've "turned the page" on Bush's Republican party. They resist attempts to talk about the last 8 years.

These people want to focus only on McCain the person (today's version of the person). They don't want this election to be about issues, or about McCain's 90% agreement with Bush on issues over the last 8 years.

PEOPLE: We need to stop focusing on Sarah Palin - and return our aser lfocus to talking about the last 8 years and how Obama/Biden can help us.

How insulting is it for McCain to say, we feel your pain - but then say callously, we've turned the page and we are moving on. The Republicans were in charge when this economy was demolished. Why on earth should anyone want to not keep pointing that out -- and why would anyone give the keys back to the party that screwed it up in the first place.
