All Numbers Are Belong To Obama.
Why does the media keep touting the nonsense that Palin and McCain drew 40 million viewers too during their speeches?

Those numbers are only because of Obama. If you tuned in to watch what Obama was going to say, or heard what people said about his performance, then naturally you're going to tune in to see the other side punch back.

Neither Palin nor McCain could have drawn anywhere near 40 miilion if they were running against anybody else. On the other hand, Obama would have drawn 40 million no matter who he was running against.

Stop trying to bullshit us. And we're tired of your lying polls too.

1. I think you have to remember that Republicans are authoritarians.
They have to watch in order to know what they're supposed to think. That's why Puke radio is so popular.

Dems neither have to watch nor listen to know what they think. We're intelligent.

2. Those numbers included Demorcrats, Republicans and
Independents. They want you to believe it was 40 million Republicans. Some people were watching to help them decide and some people were watching for a train wreck. I was watching for a train wreck. LOL!

4. That's why I watched.
And it's actually believable, in a way, that Palin and McCain drew so many TV viewers. It's even believable, in that same way, that the would draw MORE TV viewers than Obama. Why? Because Republicans are not interested in hearing anything but their own tired drivel. They probably didn't watch Obama or much, if any, of the Dem convention. Democrats, on the other hand, want to know what the other side is saying. How can we refute the lies if we don't know what they are?

Now, if they want to compare numbers to show who has more supporters, they really should be comparing live crowds. Lemme see if I can remember ... Obama: 80,000; McSame: 8,000? Something like that? Please, jump in with the real numbers if you have them handy.

6. I agree but also think McCain's speech was so bad it probably lost him votes.

It's bad news for them that so many tuned in.

8. Exactly. I'm ecstatic over it, from the green background, to
the protesters, and the lousy speech. I think he lost a ton of votes.

9. Her nonsensical "more than 40,000,000" figure includes the PBS viewership
http://www.thrfeed.com/2008/09/palin-ratings-s.html

In reality, using straight Nielsen, her viewership was 37.2 million and his was 38.4 million. Her PBS viewership was 3.2 million.

Yet when they quote Obama's figures in comparison to shout "we win", they do not factor PBS in at all and only base his numbers on straight Nielsen. So his REAL viewership is still larger than Parah Stalin's, where he had approx. 3.5 million PBS viewers according to a post of an article from Hollywood Reporter:

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.arts.tv/browse_thread/thread/e6f2ce87e747c41b

And none of the figures include the CSPAN or online viewership figures (I watched the Dem. convention solely on CSPAN).

So once again, the repukes continue to lie and distort.
