McCain Campaign in total meltdown
They are completely disintegrating. The media has turned on them. They are being called on lie after lie. Their attack dog can't be let out of the kennel and can't campaign separately from McCain for fear that she would draw bigger crowds. She can't even say anything other than her (not memorized) convention speech, which is full of LIES. They have admitted that they think the election is actually a popularity contest.

And there are still two months to go! They need a miracle. I know the polls are still close, but instead of raging about why the Democrats are so bad at politics, it's only a reason to rage that the Republicans can be so bad at politics and still be close. Which it won't be for long.

24. IF They Attacked Iran Now, IT Would Highlight Palin's LAck of Foreign Ploicy Experience
Both Obama and Biden could talk intelligently about the consequences, but Palin would lack credibility on the issue and it would thus backfire.

2. They lied about all kinds of stuff during the convention and now they are going
to answer for all the lies. Any bump will quickly begin to disappear.

3. As many times as she's given that same canned written-for-her speech
you'd think the ice princes would be intelligent enough to memorize it instead of having to finger read it like a 1st grader

4. Don't deceive yourself
The McCain campaign people are experts at deception. They know how to sell a lie and the American people have shown a weakness for believing lies.

11. Sure, that's what they are trying to do
But they are being called on it. This is a totally cynical campaign based entirely on the gullibility of the American people. And Obama called them on even that.

This isn't even clever lying like Bush did. It's shoddy. If America falls for it, we deserve the result. But I don't think it will happen.

17. I don't believe in collective punishment.
I don't care what any collective "we" deserves. I sure as hell personally don't "deserve" a McCain presidency just because I might turn out to be surround by enough idiots willing to put him in office.

5. It started about 10pm last night with AC 360
Problem is, who is watching (other than us)? They are doing this over the weekend when no one is paying attention. And then watch what happens next... Come Monday, the McPalin damage-control machine will be in place again, the bloviating talking heads will get a snort of the latest lunatic fringe talking points bullshit, and the propaganda will start up fresh with the usual trashing of Obama and how he doesn't pick his nose correctly or asking why Michele wears flats and other such nonsense.

16. You think ...
the leadin story ALL Monday will be this ...

Do Democrats really HATE the American flag? Republicans sources told CNN/MSNBC/ABC that they found thousands of american flags thrown out from the BO speech, and boy scouts and veterans helped to RESCUE the flags and waved them vociferously while hockey mom reformer and POW John McCain THRILLED a crowd in Colorado. This is yet in a never ending string of incidents that have raised questions about Barack Obama's patriotism. While there are questions about the veracity of some aspects of this story, this is yet more bad news for the Obama campaign.

8. Where are they being called out for their lies?
I'm serious. Because I'm not seeing it. All I see is the MSM (where the masses get their news) feeding drivel and gruel about what a great/close election it is.

But the MSM has been explaining Palin's lies. Unfortunately, it hasn't circulated nearly as much as her speech. Yet.

14. They are in full crisis operation mode.
That's obvious.

And they are fools to have taken on the media in this way because McCain is nothing without them fully on his side. Although they may feel they have no other choice considering the scandal swirling around Palin.

18. The media will start to turn IF Palin continues to refuse interviews, etc. McCain was open to the
press in the past and so he got more positive media coverage (think 2000 election). The honeymoon with Palin, I suspect, will fade away quickly as the media starts to become more and more irritated with her refusal to give interviews or speak off-script. I suspected that they would play nice for a week or so, hoping she would eventually grant interviews, but now that she clearly won't, the tune will change.

21. The tune will be dixieland, and she'll tapdance and show cleavage,
and not have to say a word. This is an audition for spokesbabe, after all?

Or so the the corporate owners of the big 5 media outlets will insist, to keep the show exciting with a conservative twist, as they pull her strings and make her jiggle for fame and fortune amen.

25. That ship has sailed. Been watching CNN and they're pissed already.
They ran the part of the palin rant where she sneered: "I"m not here to make friends with journalists or commentators: I'm here to serve the citizens..."

They're pissed. If they can't refute their own opinions because she won't sit for interviews, the they get to call it as they see it. And they're not impressed. She is, after all, only doing what they all do for a living: read the teleprompter.

22. Called on lie after lie, but who will hear or listen,
with the media censored to not allow contradictions of its stories and new glittering lies taking the spotlight as fast as they can be manufactured?

Without the huge conservative and big-business investment in the MSM and its well-referenced think-tanks the media would be doing its duty in this democracy in telling the truth and exposing corruption, and this election would be no contest.
