Is Palin actually uniting the Democrats?
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 08:09 PM by Life Long Dem
And if it's so then great! But there hasn't been much talk of whether the party is uniting or not. I'm sure you would hear all about it if we were not uniting.

2. I have a close friend who was adamantly
for Hillary and could not stand Obama. It got to the point that we just could not discuss politics if we wanted to remain friends (that fierce). She called me yesterday and asked if I knew anything about "that woman". I told her more about Palin and she was instantly a convert (well sorta) she will be supporting Obama and she is convincing her mother to support him as well. The more she hears about Palin, the more she is intent that the McCain/Palin team do NOT get into office.

So yes.

Palin is certainly uniting Democrats. Thank you Sarah!

McSame's women voter's are leaving him and going to Obama. So that sounds good.

4. Good point. I think Palin and the convention helped.

But you're right, I have not heard any stories about Democratic disunity in the past week.

Plus, this is probably not a good indicator, but sales of my "Hillary Has My Heart, Obama Has My Vote" buttons and shirts have picked up a lot in the past couple weeks, which could be an indicator that more activist types who supported Clinton are ready to get on board with Obama (and hopefully go out and volunteer for him, or at least be willing to wear a button).

7. The CNN meme of the week is that dems are terrified of Sarah Palin.
You would think they would be going on about how Sarah Palin is terrified of them! :eyes:

Sigh. They never fail to live down my low expectations of them!

8. The diehard holdouts maybe. But, I give more credit to Hillary than Palin.
Hillary's speech at the convention was great.
And I really respected her for telling it the way it is.
She was "on fire" and it showed.
