FYI: I found this browsing FR, and reported this to the Obama-Biden campaign.

5. Certainly....
The Freepers have decided to join BarackObama.com to be assigned to a neighborhood and counter our efforts:

Let's do some "Community Organizin'" to sink Obambi's Campaign! Takes 5 minutes! Do it from home!!
Barack Obambi web site ^ | 9/6/2008 | politicket

Hello fellow FReepers,

Are you tired of Barack Obambi and the lamestream media tearing apart our SarahCuda?

Barack Obama has just presented us with a GOLDEN opportunity to destroy his Get Out The Vote efforts - all from the comfort of our computer chair.

Do you have 5 minutes to spare? You will be anonymous - and HIGHLY EFFECTIVE!

Here are the details:

Barack Obama has just started an on-line way for his "supporters" to actively participate in his Get Out The Vote drive. It is called "Neighbor-to-Neighbor". Essentially, you "register" on his web site and they provide you with a list of all the Rats in your neighborhood that they want you to contact.

Now here's the good part....once you register, they mark your area as 'covered' and 'taken'.

So....why don't we FReepers 'cover' and 'take' Obambi's areas before the Rats get to them?

Again, you will be COMPLETELY anonymous to them.

Interested?

Here are the steps to make it happen:

1) Go to http://my.barackobama.com/n2n

2) Create a new user account - BUT, use an anonymous email account - just make one up - but have it appear "legitimate" - like mike.cooper1384@hotmail.com. Create your password - and then use your REAL zip code. Click 'Sign Up'

3) Now you are presented with a screen that asks for your address. Put in a fake 'number', but an accurate Street Name from around your neighborhood. Then put in the correct City, State, and Zip Code. Put in a fake phone number, but one that has the correct area code. Click 'This is Correct'

4) Click 'Next', then 'Next', then 'I'm Ready'

5) Click 'OK' and you will be assigned 25 Demonrat voters that 'Nobody else will be able to talk to' 6) Click 'Print Walk Lists' so that you can see the Rats from your neighborhood

Congratulations! You have just hurt the Obambi campaign...AND know who in your neighborhood to keep a wary eye on! :-)

Pass this to all of your FReeper lists. It's time to kick some tail!

I go to our local Obama office this PM. Emails might take awhile to filter through a system. Hand delivered might get some attention faster.

Free-Republic has gained some national notoriety with the MSB (main stream bloggers) and even with the MSM. Try alerting bloggers like those at Huff post or kos since they are checked regularly for tidbits by the MSM (that is how the babygate stuff got attention)!

24. it wont work
the way it looks to me. You sign up you print up all your own material so there is no cost to Obama, and if your next door neighbor signed up they would get the same info you get.....I do not think anybody markes the area as done no reason to....it is not like he will lose money by doing the same area 2x ..

Reading the description of the program on Obama's website, it looks like they mark the neighbors assigned to you as "taken", and they are not given to anyone else.

If you don't visit them within a certain amount of time (I think it's a week or two) then they expire and go back into the pool for someone else to visit, so what they're doing won't permanently remove anyone from the list, but it could slow things down.

40. The "O"fficial campaign
representatives have access to a different list which is used for canvassing which is a restricted access list.

Problem for these freeps is they may be running afoul of the law for even attempting such a disruption.

Isn't this similar to the jamming of get-out-the-vote phone lines? I think people were convicted for that.

44. Similar yes but with a critical difference
The phone jamming charges involved interference with a public service or utility. Other charges included interference with an election and harassment.

I can see where the right prosecutor could convince a jury that it is. I would consider it to be so.

To the credit of SOME over there, they even recognize that this is just beyond the pale and well... dishonorable. Kudos to those who refuse to go along with this. I'd surely never do the same to the other side... it's not even just dirty, it's unpatriotic, blocking people from hearing information and making up their own minds about things. Sad.

it cost Obama nothing ...you print your list for niegbors based on your address..you print you own flyers.....your area is not marked off as done. So if someone else next door to you signs up they get the same info.

48. That's not entirely correct.
As I understand it, when you're given a list they become unavailable to anyone else.

However, if you don't contact them within a certain time period they expire, are put back into the pool, and then can be given to someone else. So they are unavailable to others for a period of time.

16. The stupid "freepers" at FreeRepublic did not invent
the practice of joining a rival campaign for the purpose of disrupting it and gathering info for the opposing campaign. I'm sure that various campaigns have been doing this for decades.

I'm also equally as sure that somewhere in this wide America, an enterprising Obama supporter has also had the idea of joining the McCain Campaign for the purposes of gathering information to pass onto the Obama Campaign, too.

They know their candidates are complete losers that no one wants to vote for, so the only thing they can do is try to get people not to vote for Obama. What losers. Why don't they just wear a big sign and walk around the neighborhoods with a big sign saying "McCain/Palin: Big Losers We have nothing good to say about them, so all we can do is silly trickery born out of complete desperation."

and write them off. In the mean time, give them a list of registered Republican voters to 'watch.'

On edit: After thinking about it, some registered Republicans on a list could make an issue of it so just like they did, provide fictitious names and addresses for them to chase down. For every bad address they give to the Obama campaign, they get 25 in return.

What a profitable venture.

It left me feeling sick to my stomach. It reminded me of being in middle school...mmmm.. maybe that was the message meant by using the Walter Reed Middle School pic during mclame's speech..

It also reminded me that half the population's IQ is under average and we all know where they congregate.

I hope the Obama campaign realizes this and takes appropriate action.

33. They are really desperate, aren't they?
But there's nothing to worry about. I would imagine 98 percent of freeps sit in front of their computer all day, waving their fist at what they read. They talk a mean game, but are too lazy to get out there and really do something.

Like Obama has said, they just don't get it. They can try to win with tricks and negativity, but most people are smart enough to see through. And as their master Sarah Palin has said to them, community organizing is a bunch of bull - I'm sure they believe it since it's right from god to Palin's mouth. The cognitive dissonance alone will be their undoing.

Our sincerity in talking with our friends and neighbors will win out over their silly attempt to game the system. And honestly - can you imagine being the neighbor of a true freeper? What a pain in the ass that would be. I'm sure their neighbors have already heard about their love for Bush and desire to effectively give the Bush policies a third term anyway.
