Obama is laughing on ABC
so funny, he said, "I knew that Alaska is next to Russia, I saw it on a map." In response to a clip of McCain saying "She understandsthat Alaska is next to Russia..."

4. Maybe I'm just geographically ignorant but
I thought when the USSR broke up, Siberia became a separate country like Russia, Georgia, etc.

5. It's part of Russia.
Siberia (Russian: Сиби́рь, Sibir) is the name given to the vast region constituting almost all of Northern Asia and for the most part currently serving as the massive central and eastern portion of the Russian Federation, having served in the same capacity previously for the U.S.S.R. from its beginning, and the Russian Empire beginning in the 16th century.

6. nope
there isnt enough of anything in siberia other than metals and whatnot to make a separate nation. You can only really grow food in the southern parts of it.

9. Yep. You are geographically ignorant.
Siberia is a part of Russia. Alaska used to belong to Russia, until Russia sold it to US.

8. How could you not laugh
Palin has foreign policy experience because her state is near a foreign country? Just living near another country doesn't give you foreign policy experience.
