Why doesn't Obama just stage another large scale event to trump the GOP convention?
I assume he has the bucks available and McCain and Palin are going to attack him as a vacuous celebrity anyway, so why shouldn't Obama just go ahead and go with one of his strengths which is generating excitement and drawing huge crowds? I remember Bush using the tactic fairly successfully where he would say he was giving a major speech on something or other in order to maximize network coverage and then use it as a platform for attacking John Kerry. What if Obama announced another big rally where he was giving a speech in an area of policy that he hasn't covered extensively before and then kick some McCain/Palin butt as well?

2. How about Obama and Biden campaigning their butts off in swing states
which is exactly what they're doing? Anyone swayed by a big rally style speech has already made up their mind.

3. not a bad idea
he could give a speech on patriotism, or or religion, or some big issue that everyone would be curious about and all the networks would talk about.

6. No need. What we need is wide spread MSM coverage and he'll get that at the Debates
Obama MUST knock the debates out of the park. Attack on issues, be clear and concise, and be likable.
