The polls will get better. Obama's brilliant. The truth is on our side. No one could ever elect dopes like McCain and Palin.

No need to volunteer or donate. The polls will bounce back on their own after a few days. Mark my words.

Relax, don't worry, be happy. This thing is in the bag.

Don't be concerned. Concern is our only cause for concern. If you see clouds, keep your umbrellas closed and they will go away. An open umbrella makes it rain.

4. Worrying doesn't = volunteering or donating. If you're worried encourage people to do those things.
Just worrying actually DISCOURAGES alot of people.

Expressing concern is fine. But expressing concern with helpful tactics that we can all follow? Much better.

5. I get it, you're trying to be clever. Well everything is not exactly sackcloth and ashes either.
We need to work hard, but the "woe is our campaign" attitude closes out of town. We need to keep a positive attitude. After all, Obama himself has said he does not do cowering, so why should we?

6. Um. Yeah. That's what people are saying.
I get the sarcasm, but there is a huge difference between "rallying the troops" and "demoralizing the troops". The chicken little posts range from "Oh my god, we're doomed!!!!!" to "I TOLD YOU SO!" and it's not very productive.

7. I don't get your point. If you are truly concerned about the polls
then do something you have control over like volunteering and donating. It doesn't help anything when the same people post the same crap time and time again if there is one poll that is favorable for McCain. Also panicking about a poll that may or may not be accurate or that will change over the next few weeks is not helping the Democratic ticket get elected. Nobody is asking for their heads to be buried in the sand but posting crap that is not helpful hsould be called out too.

9. I heard some great news today.
Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 06:59 PM by liberalmuse
My sister talked to my mom, who is currently living in Ohio. She voted for Bush twice and was a big Hillary supporter. She was disappointed that Obama won the nod, but she was still going to vote Dem. I was worried when Palin was selected because my mom is a fundie, and she's not always sane. My mom told my sister she can't stand Palin and was disgusted when her pastor was touting her from the pulpit today. Apparently, she is insulted by the pick, and went on for an hour about how scary Palin was and how she does not like her. I was shocked to hear this, because my mom is such a church lady. Anyway, I'm hoping my mom stays sane until November. She's purposely staying in Ohio so she can vote there. Yay!

10. I donated another $300 yesterday.
Even though I had decided before Sarah Palin's speech that I was done with donations for this year.

She's a lying, nasty person, and a religous extremist.

If something happens to the next president, I don't want her in control of the United States' nuclear weapons.

11. John Kerry's brilliant.
That's wasn't enough. We need to work harder, get out every vote, and make sure they're counted. Don't underestimate the power of millions of low info voters and an ruthless opponent.

That said, I'm pretty optimistic, too.

It is all going to be decided in the ground game and we've all got to put our individual boots on the ground!

I register voters at my local library every week and I've organized other people who are doing the same.

:hi:

13. Only an idiot thinks that way
But truly negative thinking doesn't encourage, it discourages. It doesn't empower, it depletes.
