Palin will continue to lie, but the questions about her judgment, lack of experience and scandals are not going away.

1. No, but thankfully the DU threads about her are diminishing to the level they merit.
Obama is too smart to run his campaign against Palin. John McCain is his opponent.

3. "John McCain is his opponent."
Everything that's wrong with Palin calls into question McCain's judgment.

4. So start a thread about McCain's judgement... make a list and include Palin.

2. Here's another major lie from her convention speech
"...Last week in her address to the nation, Palin stepped far over the line of truthiness (thanks Steven Colbert) when she told the country, "I fought to bring about the largest private-sector infrastructure project in North American history. And when that deal was struck, we began a nearly forty billion dollar natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence."

Nothing could be further from the truth. ..."

5. I'm very curious about her and Todd's relationship to BP
also to exactly how she got started in politics in the first place.

Kopp signed release not to sue

by Jill Burke
Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008

ANCHORAGE, Alaska-- As the so-called "troopergate" continues to swirl around Palin, a severance payment made to Chuck Kopp during the upheaval came with a promise not to sue.

Chuck Kopp left his police chief job in Kenai to replace ousted Trooper Commissioner Walt Monegan.

The investigation is still underway to find out if Monegan was fired through an abuse of power.

Kopp resigned suddenly after a controversy of his own surfaced of a past sexual harassment allegation, and he was given a $10,000 severance payment.

The department of administration says money for the payment will ultimately come from the office of the governor.

While Kopp had not threatened any legal action, a release was obtained to prevent it in the future.
