They want us to talk about Palin which puts us in defense as if we are the incumbents defending the abysmal failures of last 8 years and they are the maverick outsiders. Obama is running against McCain, not Palin.

We should have just two themes --

a) 8 is enough
b) McCain is Bush the 3rd

a) Why 8 is enough?

1) Economy -- jobs, income, housing crisis, oil prices.
2) Iraq -- Wrong war at wrong time. Horrible execution wasted trillions of dollars and made us unsafe.
3) Lack of healthcare
4) Education crisis
5) No plans for alternate energy

b) McCain voted 90% of times with Bush overall and 100% this year. He is Bush the 3rd.

We must keep it simple and focus on real issues. Everything else is a distraction and helps them.

1. Palin merits less attention and obsession that she has gotten. She should not be our focus.
I am sure the Republicans love to have her as a distraction and misdirection for us. McCain is the opponent.

2. Palin will be President
if this train isn't derailed.

There can't be enough conversation about her.

4. McSame is 72, history of melanoma, & showing signs of dementia - Palin's chances of becoming
President are very good. She is also firing up the fundy base. - Light that can be shown on the dishonesty and questionable practices of her past is a good thing.

5. true, but primary goal is to win this election and McCain is weak
I think Palin is distracting us from that.
