1. It will help set the tone for the election.....
But the media will understate the significance of such a move.

But deep in their hearts, the people will know.......

2. I've got a repub friend who thinks the government should NOT be bailing out corporations
And he'll be VERY against this one as well, but not enough to vote Dem.

I don't expect to see a flood of repukes crossing over to vote Dem just because of this.

5. I know a lot of republicans
That won't like this, but as you said, they still won't vote for Obama, however I also know republicans that were not happy about his pick for VP, and in both cases, there are republicans that may not vote for Obama, but they won't be voting for McCain either. My father is one of them. He is not going to vote at all this year, and he always votes republican.

No matter what some of the "doom" and "gloom" posts say, McCain is still in trouble, and even though he may have got the right wingers motivated, he is losing other votes. The republican brand is in trouble, big trouble, and it will show come November!

3. People are too dumb to understand what is going on
Plus they are not interested in learning about it.

So I'd say it will have less effect on the election than the next GOP smear issue that backs up out of their toilet.

4. Bush broke the bank!!!! $5 TRILLION DOLLAR BAILOUT!!!!
Bush broke Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac because that is part of their plan to keep the middle class broke!!

They went after Social Security, but they could only get Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac!
