A word of advice on PANIC!!!!

I think this is completely doable, but Obama is getting run over because he is being too nice.

I'm not "afraid" because McCain can't hurt me. My family's rich. Hell, I'll probably be better off, financially if he wins. But the world will be poorer for it, and that's what I'm fighting on.

Others are not so fortunate, and they are the ones who need to face the fear.

How effective is Palin for McCain with swing voters? Right now? Quite a bit. In two weeks? Zero.

Seriously...go out and ask people what Obama said in his speech. Ask them what Biden said. What McCain said. What Palin said.

Do I have a point? Yes, actually. People have little recollection of what Palin said beyond the pitbull and community organizer jokes and they didn't like what McCain said. In a month, they'll have no memory of what Palin said and they'll still not like what McCain said. I work with the public in a very non-insulated field. I come in contact with a lot of people...of all political stripes and socio-econ status. They still know what Obama and Biden said...and right now the freshy-new-new of McSame/Failin' has them at a toss-up...they won't be as soon as the freshness goes away.

The conventional thinking is voters don't vote nuance and ideas, they vote feelings...the weakness of that is that ideas stick...you've got to both remain clean and remain effective in attacking to win. In a week, people will remember Obama's ideas and most likely they'll still like him as a person...we'll be on to a new scandal and a new scandal (in two weeks) and a new scandal (in October) and a new scandal (on Nov. 4th.)

Trust me. The sky isn't falling. Go outside, breathe, take a walk, engage your neighbors, encourage people to vote (High vote turnout favors Democrats 100% of the time in statistical trending.), discuss the issues, get drunk and go dancing...and stop being so negative.

Obama simply does not have the stomach for a tough fight like this.

Usually I post the Sith Code, with its emphasis on anger. But I figured eliminating fear was more important than stoking rage right now.
