1. Maybe they want to let them focus the discussion
on their programs.........I don't know, they have worked very hard this year. I'm not jumping to conclusions just yet. Maybe it was mutually agreed upon?

3. Too late
I called and told them that the only reason I watched MSNBC was for their political coverage was because of KO (and Rachel). fwiw, I also told them that I had seen the Drudge piece posted on DU. So, if they get pissed, they'll know the source was Drudge. Otherwise they'll know that they've got a viewer who tunes in for KO.

5. So this is why everyone wanted to call MSNBC tonight.
This has better not be true! If so, they will be hearing from me again. I will not watch that fuck Gregory, or MSNBC again if they drop Chris and Keith from the coverage.

21. interesting....
Tom Brokaw and Brian Williams, the past and present anchors of “NBC Nightly News,” have told friends and colleagues that they are finding it tougher and tougher to defend the cable arm of the news division, even while they anchored daytime hours of convention coverage on MSNBC and contributed commentary each evening.

Yeah, must be tough to have them disrupting your constant RW shilling.

I had a feeling these two might be involved.

27. 70% of America hates the Chimp
To whom are they defending MSNBC? Why would they have to defend MSNBC to anyone except the most extremist right winger? Keith Olbermann's point of view is America's majority's point of view. It's Brokaw and Williams who are out of step.

Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 09:43 PM by akangel2008
since the term was invented and I don't care for Keith; he comes off like a rabid dog. In the news I want news & not opinion. Opinions are saved for the specific shows.

Edit: I agree with the chimp line just not that Keith's view is America's view.

what is supposed to be news. You want opinion then Keith is your man sure enough. I just want some straight reporting for a change & he does not provide it.

24. KO & Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage
From the NYT Link:

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

25. Yes, Media is Right Wing
With this, it is clear that the MSM is now clearly in the tank for the McCain and the republicans.

They have the MSM so scared, they are afraid to report anything negative.

If we can get Obama elected, we can get the fairness doctrine passed. Then we can be rid of Rush/Hannity/Fox and the other right wing media types.

This is a critical election folks. Get out and vote for Obama.
