Obama's response to Westmoreland! OUCH!

I just transcribed this from CNN Newsroom:

Obama was asked today about this comment about him, the "uppity" comment, that makes a lot of African Americans furious when they hear it. He said, quote, "sounds like Representative Westmoreland should be careful throwing stones from his candidate's eight glass houses." Direct Quote from Barack Obama.

it was on CNN like maybe 5 minutes ago, but I don't know if this show is live or replayed.

edited to add: there is a logo that says "Live" on the screen now. I don't know the hosts' name because I usually don't watch this show.

If Obama had called it out as a racist remark in any way, then the story would be "Obama playing the race card" and "Is uppity really a racist code word? Oh my stars and garters, I never heard it that way before!" Hitting back with the houses/out of touch stuff makes Obama untouchable, and still brings attention to the fact that Westmoreland is a bigot.

13. Westmoreland is not only a racist but a stupid one
To actually claim that he didn't know that "uppity" had any racial meaning is absurd. He must think we're pretty stupid, but he's the one that's stupid. A white male growing up in the south knows exactly what kind of association comes with the word "uppity".

Westmoreland is an racist a-hole and I mean exactly what I'm saying. :grr:
