List of candidates in the United States presidential election... and a poll
List of candidates in the 2008 United States presidential election
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_candidates_in_the_United_States_presidential_election,_2008

********************************

If the election were held today, who would you want to win? Most polls only ask about the two major parties and they usually ask who you will vote for. This is a different question. Regardless of who you think will ultimately win this election, who would you prefer to see residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
Who do you WANT to win the presidential election in 2008? Candidates taken from wikipedia

1. I took that poll, and was surprised to see...
...that Cynthia McKinney was leading at the moment I voted. Not only that, but I voted for her! If I had my choice, they agree with me on about 90% of the issues, and deserve the presidency more than the mainstream candidates.

2. few polls list all the candidates
I agree, for me, ideally, Mckinney is Superior.
This time around, I will vote for Obama, but a Kucinich or Mckinney is what we really need. I hope we are taking the steps to accept more courageous leaders in the near future.

3. Hell, guys you see how uphill it is to elect Obama, Gore, Kerry, or the Clintons
We'll have to change the entire environment to elect "more courageous leaders". We can barely elect moderates anymore.

The permanent majority is at it again folks, and if they have their way Arlen Specter and Tom Ridge will be far to liberal to elect.

4. of course
but I find it necessary to try offer up some optimism once in a while.
The operable word is, hope. Certainly, I hope things improve, but I actually think we are fucked.

Without somebody as strong as Mckinney, we are.
