It is registered votere not Likely voters and it completly belies the Electoral Landscape.

5. But not in USAToday/Gallup's case...
Their LV model is seriously FUBAR. At the end of July, with Obama up by five points or so in other major polls, U/G had McCain leading 50-45 among LVs. It was commented on at the time that they had big problems with their model.

9. They are not rigorous about balancing their partisan breakdown....
That's why they had the 16 pt. swings in 2000.

8. That is based on outdated...
state polls.

Stae polls eventually caych up to the national polls...McCain will probably have an elctoral college lead very soon.
